On September 28, 2019, Taroko participated in the All Hands job fair – Taiwan’s first job fair for foreign nationals not hosted by a business chamber of commerce. Despite heavy rainfall, almost 1,000 eager attendees made it to the event, each one dressed sharply and armed with their resume.
As a Taipei-based company with a diverse workforce, we saw the All Hands job fair as an invaluable opportunity to meet talented job seekers from around the world. In just one day, our representatives discussed job opportunities with over 150+ candidates, and received close to 100 resumes. By the end of the event, it was apparent that our Western work culture, with an emphasis on work-life balance, autonomy, and training and development, stood out to the crowds of foreign job seekers looking for long-term, fulfilling career opportunities in Taiwan.
